Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes throughout Fort Wayne and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and post-trip documentation
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and maintain accurate delivery records
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and problem resolution
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Excellent time management and customer communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
