Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on dedicated regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication
- Document delivery exceptions and submit timely paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic warehouse equipment
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility for early morning start times (4:00 AM - 6:00 AM)
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Willingness to work occasional weekends for peak season demand
