Responsibilities
- Operate box truck safely and efficiently for local/regional freight routes
- Optimize delivery schedules to maximize daily mileage and earnings
- Maintain meticulous truck maintenance records and ensure DOT compliance
- Utilize advanced dispatch software for real-time load tracking and routing
- Build client relationships through professional on-time deliveries
- Document and report all freight movements and incidents promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team to identify high-value freight opportunities
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Proficient in GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer, 22-26ft preferred)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
