Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a box truck for local and regional freight transport
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service and fuel efficiency
- Manage all documentation including bills of lading, logs, and maintenance records
- Build client relationships through professional communication and reliable service
- Comply with DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with dispatch team to maximize daily load utilization
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and address minor maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or similar commercial experience
- Proof of commercial truck insurance (minimum $1M liability)
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer) in good mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of Orlando metro area and Florida highways
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic accounting skills for expense tracking and invoicing
- Smartphone proficiency for communication and route apps
