Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (26ft-53ft) for regional and long-haul freight delivery
- Ensure safe, timely, and damage-free transport of goods
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and load planning
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Uphold strict compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards
- Manage client relationships and service quality expectations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Current DOT medical certification
- Own or lease a well-maintained box truck (2015+ model preferred)
- Proven on-time delivery performance (95%+ success rate)
- Experience with electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of California and regional truck routes
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic accounting and business management skills
