Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites in the Greater Boston area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance and report maintenance needs.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using forklifts, loaders, or hand tools as directed by site supervisors.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic control signals, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes, delays, or delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the construction or hauling industry.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns in Massachusetts.
