You'll conduct horizon scanning, scenario planning, and competitive intelligence analysis to identify breakthrough opportunities before they become mainstream.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Conduct scenario planning workshops with executive stakeholders to prepare for disruptive futures
- Author thought leadership reports on technological disruption and future-proofing strategies
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions aligned with long-term vision
- Monitor global innovation ecosystems and patent landscapes for competitive advantage
- Advise product teams on future-proofing features and user experience paradigms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of anticipating tech trends (e.g., generative AI, Web3, neurotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning, SWOT analysis, and strategic foresight methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech innovation ecosystems
