Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on macro-trends impacting global markets through 2026, including AI adoption, climate resilience, and workforce transformation
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks to prepare the organization for potential future disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future insights into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with thought leaders, research institutions, and emerging tech pioneers
- Present future outlooks and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Oversee the creation of Horizon Insights' annual Future State Report
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or tech scale-ups
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Business Strategy, Economics, or related field
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend forecasting, and disruption modeling
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Experience leading high-impact strategy projects across multiple industries
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
