Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global technology trends, market shifts, and disruptive innovations through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligning with company vision and emerging market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Partner with C-suite to integrate futurist insights into corporate strategy and product development
- Deliver thought leadership through white papers, conference keynotes, and industry publications
- Manage ecosystem of academic partners, VCs, and government labs for collaborative innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in emerging technology adoption (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Experience building innovation pipelines and managing R&D budgets >$10M
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and global innovation hubs
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
