Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, socio-cultural shifts, and market disruptions to identify future opportunities and risks through 2026+ horizons
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-generation solutions
- Deliver compelling future-state narratives to stakeholders through executive presentations and thought leadership
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers to co-create the future
- Drive organizational adoption of agile innovation methodologies and future-proofing strategies
- Mentor junior strategists in foresight methodologies and trend analysis techniques
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex futures into actionable insights
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous, high-stakes innovation initiatives
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (white papers, journals, conferences)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-state strategy implementations
