Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026 technology roadmaps for AI/ML, quantum systems, and sustainable infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping future-facing solutions with 18-24 month horizons
- Analyze emerging tech trends (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology) for commercial viability
- Partner with C-suite executives to align strategic initiatives with long-term business goals
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $5M for future technology incubation
- Present strategic briefings to stakeholders including venture capital partners and industry consortia
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2026+ vision
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, advanced AI, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature Futures, or equivalent tier journals
- Experience scaling tech ventures from concept to $50M+ ARR
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology preferred
- Proficiency in strategic modeling tools (System Dynamics, Monte Carlo simulations)
- Track record of securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, ARPA-E)
