Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, neurotech, sustainable tech)
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate future tech into corporate strategy
- Manage R&D portfolios with $50M+ annual budget allocation
- Represent company at global tech summits and policy forums
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and agile development
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and startups
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least 3 emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting
- Strong network in Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Exceptional communication for executive/board presentations
- Certification in technology innovation management preferred
