Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including AI ethics, quantum applications, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to prototype and validate breakthrough solutions
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies
- Present technology visions to C-suite executives and venture capitalists to secure $5M+ innovation budgets
- Monitor global tech trends through patent analysis, academic research, and competitive intelligence
- Drive thought leadership through white papers, conference keynotes, and industry consortium participation
- Establish KPIs for innovation ROI and track progress through proprietary impact metrics
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of applied R&D experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, or biotech preferred)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and scenario planning
- Executive-level experience securing multi-million dollar innovation funding
