Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging markets including quantum computing applications and synthetic biology interfaces
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and venture capital partners
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies with potential $1B+ market impact by 2026
- Translate complex scientific concepts into investor-ready commercialization frameworks
- Manage strategic partnerships with research labs (MIT, Stanford, etc.) and government innovation initiatives
- Present technology foresight reports to C-suite executives and board committees
- Mentor junior strategists in emerging technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Deep understanding of exponential technology trends and their societal implications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex system interactions
- Strong network within global innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Boston, Shenzhen)
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight frameworks
- Published thought leadership in technology or business innovation journals
