Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research initiatives in emerging fields including AI ethics, quantum applications, and neurotech integration
- Partner with R&D to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Build and mentor a team of futurist researchers and tech architects
- Drive patent strategy for proprietary technological advancements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or scale-up
- Proven track record commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, or synthetic biology
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million R&D budgets
