Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (2026-2030) and assess market readiness
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and future trends
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify disruptive opportunities in AI, blockchain, and IoT
- Present technology forecasts to executive stakeholders and board members
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-proof solutions and validate market viability
- Author thought leadership publications on technology's societal impact
- Manage a $5M innovation fund for experimental technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or corporate innovation with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record in forecasting technology adoption curves and market disruption
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum computing, AI governance, or Web3
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech focus
- Published thought leader with keynote speaking experience at major tech conferences
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in scenario planning and trend analysis tools
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and innovation budgets >$3M
