Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 5-10 year market impact
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with company's 2030 vision
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive innovations across quantum, biotech, and AI domains
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future-tech strategies into corporate planning
- Establish innovation ecosystems through academic partnerships and venture collaborations
- Author thought leadership publications on emerging tech policy and ethics
- Manage $5M+ R&D portfolio for experimental future-technology incubation
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record in launching products with 5+ year development cycles
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, nanotech, etc.)
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong network connections with global innovation hubs and research institutions
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management preferred
- Published work on future technology trends or tech ethics
