Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with organizational vision and market disruption forecasts
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.) and assess commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and technology incubators
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Drive innovation culture through thought leadership, internal workshops, and industry speaking engagements
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in future forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi analysis, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of at least two emerging tech domains (AI, biotech, blockchain, etc.)
- Executive-level communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and cross-continental teams
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation publications
