Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy 2026-focused technology roadmaps spanning AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Analyze emerging tech trends to identify disruptive opportunities and competitive threats
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor and grow a team of 8-10 technical specialists and futurists
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies for C-suite stakeholders
- Secure and manage innovation grants totaling $5M+ annually
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in future-tech strategy roles
- Proven track record scaling quantum/AI initiatives to commercial viability
- Deep expertise in emerging tech convergence (quantum, biotech, neurotech)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Published research in IEEE/Nature on disruptive technologies
- Experience securing $1M+ in innovation grants or venture funding
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
