Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within San Francisco Bay Area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery priorities
- Ensure secure handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT certification required)
- Manage electronic logging devices (ELD) and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions and delivery confirmations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- HAZMAT certification and TWIC card preferred
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in variable weather conditions
- Proficient with ELD systems and mobile dispatch applications
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Flexible schedule including overnight shifts and weekend availability
