Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries
- Plan optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to meet tight schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled cargo
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure 100% compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Los Angeles metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical examination and random drug testing
- HAZMAT certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
