Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving commercial trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US driver’s license.
