Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL required) to transport goods on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route progress and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville-area routes and Southeastern US geography
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
