Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for freight transport within Seattle metro and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logging
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and route efficiency
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service, and company policies
- Handle secure loading/unloading procedures and verify shipment documentation
- Respond proactively to weather/traffic challenges to maintain delivery timelines
- Perform basic preventive maintenance checks and report vehicle issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR/Regional trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington State highway systems and port regulations
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage and transportation apps
- Strong communication skills for client coordination and reporting
- Flexibility for early morning starts, weekend shifts, and overnight trips
- Valid TWIC card preferred for port access
