Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B CDL) for local and regional routes within Washington DC metro area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance coordination
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours including early mornings
