Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Implement strict student safety protocols during boarding, transit, and disembarking
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and district administrators
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and student behavioral incidents
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Current DOT medical certification
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
