Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on a designated route in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and state transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding route changes or student issues.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
- Keep the bus interior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR check required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills and patience.
- Reliable and punctual attendance history.
