Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Implement student discipline protocols while maintaining a positive environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic regulations
- Assist students with mobility needs during boarding/exiting
- Respond to emergencies following established protocols
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interior
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
