Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate student transportation records and attendance logs
- Provide courteous assistance to students, parents, and school staff
- Handle emergency situations calmly and according to training procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school administration
- Adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed schedules
- Strong commitment to student safety and customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
