Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses adhering to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and clear communication
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and mobility needs
- Respond to emergencies following district emergency procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must be 21+ years old with clean driving record
