Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners during critical transfers
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal routing and real-time tracking updates
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and precision
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDL preferred but not required
- Experience in medical transport, logistics, or healthcare supply chain
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile communication devices
