Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, pharmaceuticals, and critical equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling protocols for all sensitive materials
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Document all pickups and deliveries with digital tracking systems
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, organized transport vehicles
- Communicate proactively with healthcare providers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict temperature control requirements for temperature-sensitive shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or high-value courier services
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient with mobile technology and route optimization apps
- OSHA and HIPAA certification training or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, and weekends
