Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, or retail goods to residential and commercial locations across Richmond
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries professionally
- Load/unload packages safely using proper lifting techniques
- Collaborate with dispatch team to update delivery status and address route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles up to 10,000 lbs (CDL not required)
- Strong knowledge of Richmond metropolitan area and surrounding counties
- Proven experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service roles
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Reliable transportation to/from depot location
