Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Portland metro area and Pacific Northwest regions
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and comply with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials with proper endorsements
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery exceptions
- Utilize GPS technology for real-time navigation and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to obtain hazmat endorsement within 30 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of Portland-area traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening per federal requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
