Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight across various routes in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict adherence to federal laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
