Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and waste to designated sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Load/unload materials efficiently using hydraulic systems and proper techniques
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
- Collaborate with dispatch team for timely deliveries and route adjustments
- Complete daily paperwork including delivery tickets and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor equipment troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and overtime as needed
