Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all packages are handled with care and handled according to safety protocols.
- Verify delivery information, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical integrity of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping tools to optimize routes and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent clean driving record (depending on vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Tampa, FL roadways and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Physically capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable smartphone for digital documentation and route updates.
