Responsibilities
- Safely Deliver Goods: Transport packages and freight to residential and commercial addresses in and around Philadelphia, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, handle packages with care, and obtain signatures for proof of delivery.
- Route Efficiency: Follow assigned routes and schedules strictly to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of delivery times, mileage, and delivery statuses using handheld scanners and company software.
- Load Handling: Safely load and unload cargo, including lifting and maneuvering items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with the public.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile applications for delivery tracking.
- Background Check: Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
