Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, or retail items to Manhattan locations using company vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon request
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time performance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations at distribution centers
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and navigate stairs in apartment buildings
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan streets and NYC traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic smartphone literacy for communication and route optimization
