Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations within the Fresno metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all packages are handled with care and secured properly to prevent damage.
- Follow strict delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and customer satisfaction.
- Interact professionally with customers, collecting payments when necessary and handling inquiries with a friendly demeanor.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both inside the vehicle and at the distribution center.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the fleet manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent state driver’s license.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card or physical examination certificate.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of customer service.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
