Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Transport cargo and packages to designated addresses in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling deliveries with care and maintaining a positive image of the company.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic delivery records accurately.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly for transit and assist with loading and unloading as required.
- Route Planning: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules while finding the most efficient paths to avoid delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License (or equivalent) is required.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving abstract with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work full-time hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld scanners, GPS systems, and mobile apps.
