Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Washington DC
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet strict time windows
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipments
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and handle inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and customer concerns
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, parking restrictions, and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with minimum 2 years of clean driving record (no DUIs)
- 1+ years of delivery or commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and navigate stairs with packages
- Familiarity with Washington DC neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency using mobile delivery apps and basic technology
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by DOT regulations
