Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve inquiries.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery schedules and route constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery (POD) and mileage logs.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are handled with care.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent state driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of Chicago roadways and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld delivery devices.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
