Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across the continental US
- Execute efficient route planning to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel usage
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of specialized freight when required
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and communication
- Represent Premier Logistics professionally with clients and at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with no preventable accidents
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in ELD systems and basic navigation technology
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight travel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for occasional loading/unloading assistance
