Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within the NYC metropolitan area.
- Obtain proper signatures and ensure the accurate completion of delivery logs and digital tracking systems.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with customers and clients.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety checks, and proper fuel levels before and after routes.
- Handle package sorting and organization at the facility to ensure efficient dispatching.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and DOT regulations to ensure a safe driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or standard Class B License with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and smartphone-based delivery apps is highly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven history of reliability and punctuality in previous employment.
- Basic knowledge of the New York City geography is a significant plus.
