Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to deliver high-value goods to designated locations
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and Washington, D.C. traffic ordinances
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or secure transport protocols
- Represent Capital Fleet Logistics with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 5 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington, D.C. metropolitan area geography
