Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight across designated routes with 100% compliance to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document all vehicle maintenance requirements
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules
- Secure and unload cargo using proper loading techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation for transparency
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or route changes
- Participate in quarterly safety training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage and basic GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Atlanta metro area and Southeastern US highways
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment safely
- Excellent time management with ability to maintain strict delivery windows
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
