Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps and chains, adhering to load securement standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and driver logs.
- Navigate efficiently across Ohio and surrounding regions while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and maintain a Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and load securement protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
