Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery in Indianapolis metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and vehicle inspections
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency while meeting strict delivery windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery/pickup interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and Indiana roadways
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability
- Proof of commercial insurance (minimum $1M liability)
