Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery within Charlotte metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service during freight handling and delivery
- Manage all documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Uphold strict safety protocols and DOT compliance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer, under 200k miles)
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
